Baby Care Instructions - Please Read Carefully
Your
baby should be kept away from extreme heat and cold. Heat is more dangerous
because the vinyl becomes very soft and pliable when heated and can become
warped or even melt. You should
never leave your baby in a hot car or displayed near any type of heat source.
Your baby should be kept away from excessive moisture, which can cause
mold damage. DO NOT USE ANY CLEANING SOLVENTS OR ALCOHOL on your baby!
Your baby’s hair is hand rooted mohair and should not be combed too much. It has been coated with glue and water sealant on the inside of the head to help keep it from coming out. Should the hair become dusty, it can be gently wiped with a damp wash cloth to remove the dust or use a duster. (I prefer using a duster like the Swiffer duster). Mohair has a tendency to bunch and mat so extreme gentleness should be used when combing out mats. Mohair needs to be maintained to prevent matting and should not be done more than once a month. (See Hair Care Instructions)
Your
baby can wear size some Newborn and 0-3 month* clothing.
Care should be taken when posing your baby.
The arms and legs are on a jointed body so they can be gently posed, but
should never be forced; they are filled with tiny glass beads for additional
weight. Extreme pressure on the
seams of the body can cause tearing. You
can gently turn the head from side to side, but again, it should not be forced.
The
eyelashes are applied with glue and then sealed in place for protection.
The manicured finger and toes can be chipped from excessive handling.
Do not pull on your baby’s fingers and toes, you may tear the vinyl.

Purchased
clothing never, ever, hardly fit your doll exactly because they are made for
human babies. And, in most cases,
the necklines are too large. However,
with a couple of simple adjustments, you can easily fix the problem and the
clothes will look great on your baby doll. For
the neckline, if you’re a sewer, just snip the inside neck edge of the folded
over binding and run some elastic through the “casing” and stitch each end
to hold the elastic in place. If you
don’t sew, you can easily just pinch the neckline and then make a “tuck”
in the back of the garment and secure with a small baby safety pin or a couple
of hand stitches.....Mary
